What’s a Sesen?
The sesen is the blue lotus flower in the Ancient Egyptian language, more accurately known as the blue water lily. It represented rebirth, healing, and creation. The word Sesen (Ssn) has been adopted into many different languages and cultures, as is evident from the names Susan, Susanna, Shoshanna, Sousanna, and many other variations.
